RoseyRavelston Books have released "Random Reads" books through their gorgeous and purposeful (see below) bookshop -
based on the idea of "Blind Date with a Book". They wrap a book in recycled brown packaging and put a sticker on the front that tells people:
- The genre
- Three keywords that describe the plot
- A short sentence to sum up the book
The idea being that people can discover new books and get a surprise when they open the package. This is an idea that has been around for a while and a lot of other bookshops do it. Now you can gift it in your MMH hamper or drop in to see them!

RoseyRavelston Books
We're a (very) small social enterprise based in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Run largely by a couple and our dog Echo (our quality control expert), with the vital support of a small group of supporters, we've managed to combine our love of reading with our passion for supporting refugees and asylum seekers.
We do this by donating 50% of our profits to a charity called Amiculus: The Humble Friend Project, who work to advocate for equity, the relief of poverty and to bring about the full realisation of human rights for refugees and people seeking asylum within the Greater Sydney community.
MMH will be donating 20% of to each “Echo” signature bounty sold in addition to their huge donations. Given directly to them.
